Like most people have asked, what parts of the test are you failing. What I failed my first test I did the following wrong:
- I was speeding
- I passed a parked car too close - the tester flinched and then scribbled furiously on his clipboard
- I was making a left turn, went into the intersection, and got trapped there as the light changed. I had to reverse - more scribbling.
After this I knew what I had to work on. By the way I was nervous too.
Like someone said, teke the test elsewher where they may be more relaxed. Good luck.
Also like other have suggested, a little humility might be in order. After all, if you were that competent, you would have passed the test by now.

I guess its just bad luck, I failed first time purely just through being in the wrong place at the wrong time - I got accused of dangerous driving because I apparently was driving along a road where cars were parked both sides of the road and failed to notice another car in the opposite direction, but it pulled in to let me go on, so I don't understand why I failed first time! Just keep trying, maybe have a couple more lessons and go over any areas where you have apparently gone wrong in your tests so far. Good luck!

Could be the old nerves my friend. It was the most stressful thing I had to do (much more than exams!). I took a whole load of Bachs Rescue Remedy (see link below) think you can get it from Holland and Barrett it did seem to help somewhat.
Also you can be comfortable drivng with your instructor but as soon as you are in the car with someone else your driving confidence dwindles. Maybe try going out and drive with one of your parents - If you can survive that you can survive anything!! GOOD LUCK!!

Because the driving test appears to no longer be anything to do with being able to drive, you need to learn to simply pass the test. Examiners have been given strict rules and guidelines that you must fall into in order for them to be able to pass you. Unfortunately a rule-book is completly inappropiate fr te open roads. If every driver drove exactly to the rulebook it may be viable but that won't ever happen for 2 reasons, first we are all human and all make mistakes, second we find some different forms of driving work better for us and tend to favour those.
A perfect example of this rule-book failure, a friend of mine took his test and did very well except for one thing, when almost stopped but not completly whilst in a queue, he continued in second gear as opposed to selecting first, which just about everybody would do in real situations as first is normally too aggressive to select if your moving unless your highly experienced. However the rule-book says you should stop and pull away in first, highly inefficient but possibly more appropiate for the very weak drivers. However if someone is this weak they should not be permitted on the roads at all, this is not taken into account.
If you want to pass next time you probably need to forget some of your experience and drive more like a learner. Follow what seems the safest possible route of driving, and try to remember their tick-box rule book that you must comply to in order to pass. If you do this then next time you may just manage it.
Good luck.

The average person thinks they are above average. I wouldn't trust your own evaluation of your skills. You may be making dangerous decisions without even knowing it. Clearly, if you failed three times you're doing something wrong.
Tips - watch your speed (even a couple mph over the limit constitutes a breach of the law)
signal your intentions
check your mirrors and make it obvious you are doing so
stop completely at stop signs
keep both hands on the wheel (when I took my test, that was the only complaint - that I kept driving with just one hand)
Good Luck

I have heard that driving schools have a quota of the amount of people they can pass per week, so you may be failed easier at the end of the week that on a monday for example. So try booking an early to mid week test and see if that helps!
You can aslo get herbal pills to help you relax during your test, if neaves are an issue. A good brand is called 'Kalms'

you may find this forum helpfull!

It is probably because you just get nervous and the examiner is unlikely to pass someone who is a nervous driver. Imagine what you would be like driving alone?!? Try to get some practise with people you have not driven with, like your sister, brother, grandpa etc. Because you have probably gotten comfortable with your instructor. In your lessons you are probably more comfortable cause there is always someone to tell you what to do!!!

*I think its because you let yourself get worked up.
sometimes when i go to an audition( I am an actor/singer by nature) I freeze up and become a vegetable.
recently I have found methods to relax my thinking to try not to over-anylize any situation.
"Whats the worst that could happen?" ; " could fail my test!"
whell you've done that already, now try saying to yourself this is just another practice-run... this is not a test.
Say to yourself I know, that I know how to do this and Im aware of my strong points and concentrate on that.
**Also i've heard that if you picture the instructor in his/her underwear that it makes them seem less intimidating and therefore makes you relax.

What part are to failing. If you pass everything but the parking you still pass. What is so bad that yiu are not passing. My daughter had that problem but we fixed that by using anither car like a small more easy to handle sedan, The more comfortable in a car you feel the better chance you have of passing.

Don't worry about it.
I had 4 tests and overall i only got 13 minors from all 4 tests. I know someone who passed 1st time getting 14 minors, its all about luck on the day.
I passed yestaday with only 2 minors, but in my 2nd test i got 2 minors and failed.
Dont give up!
