new cars and bikes outperform older or other vehicles! my bike can stop quicker than any car on the road plus no cell phone to distract

speed laws are there for a reason. if all are moving at
about the same speed all will be safer.
by your reasoning the older cars would be restricted to
one speed while a newer one would be trying to get
around it and anyone else in its way thus creating a
dangerous situation for all concerned. as for
motorcycles, letting them go any faster would only
result in the riders being killed more often in a crash
instead of just injured.

Someone told me that Nixon set the "55" MPH for oil/ gas concerns.

Most states have adjusted this to "75" MPH or at least "75" MPH Day/ "65" MPH for night. In Montana ... there is no speed limit on open roads; of course there is limits for towns/ school zones.

No, there shouldn't be two types of speed laws on the road.
It must be only one type and it should apply for all vehicles and
motorbikes, irrespective of old or new machines.
That is the standard law for speeding on the road.

No, if anything the speed limits should be LOWER because performance is WAY up.

why have speed limits, when cars now are being made with governors and restrictors

they defiantly need to raise them for trucks in California, they cause bottlenecks that can be dangerous for faster vehicles :(
