Just got a gas powered go ped type scooter. One of the drive belts is completely stripped when I bought it. The seller told me that the belts are about 40 dollars. It is very easy to find the right belt online of course, but I was wondering if maybe a vacuum store might have the same belt cheaper? or if just ordering from a scooter parts store would have higher strength (proper) belts.

I've been working at an Auto Parts store since April, I started a Disiel Mechanics course prior to that but dropped it... Now I'm considering just plain Auto Mechanics... anyone know of any schools that do this but online. I work to much and don't have the time to go to an actual campus.

I like cars, and i want to know more about them inside and out. I don't know if I should just learn about cars and work on them as a hobby or if being a mechanic is a good idea too.

What is the driving skill you find most lacking in other drivers (or find most difficult yourself)? I thought of this watching with amusement while a driver was trying to parallel park on my street.

Was looking around on the internet, and found a website that said adding two ounces of ascetone to 10 gallons of fuel, helped the vaporizing process, and and could add nealry 25 percent to your Miles per gallon. It said other stuff, but it was all common sence. Check the tire pressure, lighten the load. Turn the car in trafic jams..**** everyone knows already. But the ascetone thing I had never heard before. Anyone else hear about this thing.

Hello, guys. I live in London at the moment and I'm 23 years old. Next month(Sept,.) I have a plan to hire car for a couple of days..but I think I am in trouble.
I only have a Debit Card from Lloyds and of course it says "VISA" in the side of the card.
But I heard that without any Credit Card, no one can hire any car in London.. is that true?
Now I'm so so despressed as I've planned to go somewhere with my GF a couple of months ago. That's why I've saved money for the last months but....what should I do?
Without any Credit Card, no car company lends me any car?

Please....help me..TT

What kind of automobile would a regular person drive during the 1940's and 50's in New York? Nothing fancy or flashy, just a common car. If it got a flat, how did a person fix it? Did they carry jacks back then?

I might sound like an idiot, but I'd really appreciate any answers. Thanks much.

I'm in my early 20s, and I've been saving up for a brand new car for some time. I have a few in mind but I would like to see the opinions of others, preferably of people in the same age group. Affordability is one of the deciding factors, but so is reliability.

My question is Why ruin a car's looks with a giant wing on the back, and if you've done it do you actually belive adding weight to your car will improve its speed. As I know a wing of that size is only effective at speeds above 190mph. Not to mention its putting weight on the rear for RWD not FWD bumper cars

Hey Guys,

Just earlier today I was going towards an intersection (in Oregon) when the light turned orange. I proceeded to go through the intersection, and the light turned red when I was in the intersection. I don't know exactly how far I was in, but I know for sure that my front wheels were definitely over the white "stop" line.

I think my whole car was over the white line before it turned red, but I am not positive. At worst, my back wheels may have been on the white line. I think I was probably going 37-40mph in a 35mph zone.

Does this constitute running a red light? If so, when do you usually receive the citation?

How many miles do you get to a tank of gas compared to petrol or is it the same.
I was considering getting my car converted to gas as i am currently getting about 400 miles to a full tank of petrol costing about £50.00. and using a full tank each week.
How do they run, do you still need to use petrol aswell even when converted to gas

hi, i was driving down a road 6 weeks and it was sunny and i went through a red light. The junction had a light for people going left and a different light for people going straight. I miss read the signal and saw the other green plus i couldnt see the other red because the sun was directly shining on it and i collided with another car on the junction. Now 6 weeks on police want to interview me. They jsut want a chat and havent arrested me. could they charge me for anything ? i have spoken to many people and taxi drivers and they have said the same thing that them traffic lights are very confusing and it can be very difficult to see them when its sunny. I was very confused and i collided with the vehicle at the junction at low speed. They other party admitted i was travelling at low speed. could the police charge me with anything ? i am very scared please help
