Was looking around on the internet, and found a website that said adding two ounces of ascetone to 10 gallons of fuel, helped the vaporizing process, and and could add nealry 25 percent to your Miles per gallon. It said other stuff, but it was all common sence. Check the tire pressure, lighten the load. Turn the car in trafic jams..**** everyone knows already. But the ascetone thing I had never heard before. Anyone else hear about this thing.

I work on cars for a living and one of our newest things were seeing is sticking, leaking fuel injectors. Only put gas in the gas tank. Otherwise if it is true( and I can assure you it won't help an amount you could actually see outside of a lab) you may pay far more in repairs than you save in fuel.

Check the BTU value of the acetone to determine whether it will increase mileage or not. One other thing to consider is that acetone is a solvent and what will that do your fuel pump, and other rubber hoses, and the gaskets in your fuel injectors? I wouldn't put it in my tank. Do what you want, but if you start getting fuel problems that will outweigh any benefit you would get even if it was true.

Don't fall for it.

good luck.

I wouldnt want to put other things other than gas on my fuel tank. I've heard about that acetone myth and not entirely sure if its effective or not but I would not try it.

no it wont help it,that myth has been floating around for a while now,it wont improve mileage any at all, acetone has a small percentage of water in it,so its not going to help it,your welcome to try it though, but i would advise against it,good luck with it.
