Wouldn't it make more sense than having to pay to get rid of old tires? I always had very good luck with recapped tires and I know that 18 wheelers still use recaps on their trailers. I know they don't want to use them crushed in the road surfaces because of the steel belts in a lot of them, but I just don't understand why they don't still do this.

I’m a very zealous cyclist and enjoy taking on difficult challenges. My friend, Yin and I take the same route to work, which is a quiet rural road. There is a stretch of a 3 mile straightway, so I’m wondering if it is possible to outrun her car?

Postscript: My friend, Yin drives a 2002 Honda Civic DX, with a 1.7L, 115 horse power engine and a 4-Speed automatic transmission.

To pass on my thanks, I’ve temporary placed a photo page for your viewing. Please comment.

Hi I've been learning to drive in a town near where I live i tried to book my test but couldn't get one untill the end of October so i booked one in the next town. The test is in 2 weeks, I've drove in the town centre before but haven't drove around the surounding towns hence don't know the test routes.
I've downloaded a few of the test routes so I can drive round this week myself and hopefully get to know the roads. I think it could possibly be a good idea because when i've took my test before I've been hoping not to go certain ways and i suppose if i don't know the routes I won't be thinking like that!
Just wondering if anybody thought this was a bad or good idea and if they had any tips on getting to know the test route
Please any tips or if you think its a good or bad idea it would help

ok, I have a 1992 Olds. Cutlass Supreme (2 door) with a 210HP V-6 with EFI. I have made sure all my tires are inflated properly, and I increased my gas mileage by 3 MPG's!! (went from 24 to 27 MPG's) I also checked my air filter, and cleaned it out, but I didn't see a better gas milage. is there anything else I can do?

Thanks in advance!

I drive a BMW M3 (which is a high performance car for anybody who doesn't know) I've heard people saying who know me that I think I'm better than other car drivers with lesser cars. This is rubbish and I would still be the same person no matter what I had. There's no problem were I work and people know I have it because I like fast cars. It doesn't worry me, it's just annoying that some people have to draw stupid conclusions about things.

I don't feel like confronting them but it's hard to ignore sometimes. Any advice!

It was not me speeding stupidly I am pleased to say.

I have been asked by a friend today if I know punishment for speeding on a 50/60 mph dual carriageway doing about just under 100mph but my friend didnt realise they were there till last minute so it could have been 110/120 mph.

It was a unmarked camera van. I would think a ban but not sure?

For some reason I can't find out what the liter system in an engine means.

For instance, there are cars that are like "1.8 liter" 4 cyl. like the honda civic

or a chevy truck with a "6.6 liter" V-8 turbo diesel

considering that is kind of small and I know that the engine is much bigger than a few liters, what does it all mean?

Is each of the liters like the size of the cylinders or the pistons?

I just had my 2007 Brand New car stolen from me a gun point. They got nothing but my car but it can be replace. My 66 Continental keys were on the ring. The next day I ordered my ignition, doors and lock set plus 3 sets of blank keys for my Continental. What's some other security measures I can take more advanced than a kill-switch that I can install on the car and not effect the originality of the car? Your advice would be appreciated.

Is it true that there's special license plates that are given to people that have been pulled over for drunk driving before?

If so, what do they look like and how long do they have to have them on their vehicles for?
