In Minnesota they're called "whiskey plates". They have a "W" with 4 numbers after it. They started making them a different color (Green) instead of white so they're more noticeable.

A few states have this in effect, with good results. The design, and how long they have to use the plates is dependent on state law. However, when West Virginia talked about a similar plate for child molesters, the ACLU had a fit.

in Minnesota they have them. if its your second time the plates stay on the car for 6 months and the third time its forever. however the plates stay on the car so to get around it most people sell that car and get one that doesn't have those plates.

Ive never heard of it, but a good friend of mine got 2 dui's and he had to pay to have a breathilizer installed in his car so he cant start the car if it isent under .002

I haven't heard of that yet here in Michigan but it sounds to me to be a stupid idea that could cause alot of unnecessary problems on the streets.
