Stabilizer is used in fuel tanks just for winter store

instructions on container

1 packet to the tank, or to the container you store it in. Fuel stabilizer was originally used over storage time, however fuel is not as good as it was and breaks down rather quickly. Stabilizer will keep it fresh a little longer. Engine manufacturers are now recommending only putting what fuel you will need to do the job and no extra, and not buying gallons and gallons and storing it. Buy it as you use it then you will not need the stabilizer.

read the bottle for the suggested fuel to stabilizer ratio, Estimate the amount of fuel in the mower and add accordingly.

The best way to do it is to put it in the gas can before you fill the mower, run the mower until it is completly out of gas, then fill it with the stabilized fuel, and run it a little bit.

Either way, you should run the mower for a few minutes before storing it for the winter, this way the sabilizer gets into all the hoses and engine components and it will protect them better.
