i want to drive a qpod but dont have any driving licence i want to know what the test involves

I have never known anyone do a standalone B1 test before.
I suggest you learn to drive a car as the manual car (B) licence gives you the B1.
Plus getting the car licence, which is fairly easy gives you more options and allows you to get more licences in the future. You need the B licence to get any sort of larger vehicle.
I suggest you get the B licence. It will give you what you want and more options for the future.

There isn't a separate test for a B1 category licence.
You either take your car (B) or motorcycle (A) licence and you are automatically granted a B1.
