Hi, I was wondering, is it legal to install blue blinker/turn signal lights in the front and back of your car?
Also, same thing for the license plate lights?
i am getting mixed answers for these two

I do remember reading in the KY drivers manual that no blue lights on the wxterior were allowed. It is not a good idea to go with blue or you will attract the boys in blue. If you know what I mean.

Every state I know of limits the turn signals to either white or amber front and either amber or red in the rear. Use to see a lot of tickets handed to people who thought " Blue Dot" taillights were cool. The license light must be capable of lighting the plate so it is visible from a specified distance which may vary from state to state so that could also get you a ticket if the cop determined it wasn't sufficiently bright. If your state requires an annual safety inspection then the inspection station people can certainly tell you what will pass and what won't. Just be aware, even though it may be legal in your state it may get you a ticket if you're on vacation somewhere else.

No!

Only emergency vehicles can have blue lights! Depending on the area, usually the blue light is reserved for law enforcement. Some areas may allow fire and rescue units to have blue lights also.

In my area you can be charged with impersonating a police officer if you display blue lights on a vehicle! If the lights blink or flash, the offense is considered more serious.

anything blue is considered "illegal". i've known so many people that put blue lights and have gotten tickets from it. but, i believe that any other color is fine. i've had purple and red (not at the same time) on my old car and i was fine.
