with a mix of bleach and warm water, ( about 1 cup of bleach to a gallon of water, and scrub with a brush

real canvas not the plastic stuff.
If it is canvas would talk to someone that owns a sail boat or some type of boat. they often use canvas as weather potection on the docks. they would have a soltion for you.
