Porter are the people that work for car companies and they drive cars, to get washed, or get gas, things like that.

Lately there is this guy who lives about 10-15 houses further up our road. He recently got a Dewalt sprinter van and tends to enjoy parking right out side our houses (We own 2 houses next to each other 1 all derelict and the other we live in).

Our house is also on a slip road and the road is very narrow making it extremly difficult to get into the drive without some fancy manovers.

This guy who lives no where near this end of the road just keeps parking his damn van here and tends to block up everything. On some occsions he parks on the corner of the slip road making it difficult for people to turn in.

Ive asked nicely but he just doesnt listen and leaves it parked for days before having to go somewhere.

What else can i do to get him to stop. We've got lots of cars of our own and have to park 2 roads away beacause of that thing parking right outside.

I dont want to cause a fight or anything i just want him to stop it. And its not even a one off its all time.

I am angry. I am new in this town. I spend more time in my car than in my office trying to connect to a place. How can i beat this 'traffic jam' as they call it? I am sick and tired of sitting in my car for many hours on end waiting to connect to a place of business. If not for GSM I will loose most of my customers. What do I do? Or rather how can we advice government to deal with this township monster? I prefer to be in my village sometimes where movement is as you want. Help me out. . .

Some people say that by flashing your car lights at the traffic lights, you can get the lights to turn green. Apparently, this is for the use of emergency vechicles.

Hi,
im going on holidays to cairns and i'm on my learner permits. I know that inter state driving, you just follow the rules for your state eg. in victoria learners have no speed limit but in nsw they are only allowed to drive 80 kph, and when you go to nsw you can drive over 80, but does that still work when you are driving a car registered to that state??
I hope i make sense lol,
thanks

My car has a wimpy horn. I want something LOUD that will get people's attention when needed. I've found some online that look easy to install, but I wonder if that would void my car warranty (it's only about 4 months old, bought new)? Anyone know?

My sister got in an accident, and she doesnt know if it was her fault. She said that she was going at about 15 mph, and the guy slammed on his brakes which caused her to do the same, except when she did, her brakes locked up. It was just a fender bender but she got a ticket and she has to take a course to keep her license. Im not sure if its careless driving, can someone clear it up for me?

What is a typical number for the gear ratio of driveshaft to axle for high gear? For example, something like 2 revolutions of driveshaft for every 1 revolution of wheel(assuming RWD) axle?

Is 1:1 a typical number? Can it go any lower, something like less than 1 to 1?

How about low gear? What is a typical number?

thanks.

My parents say that when they were learning to drive that they were told not to change gears(ex.-from Reverse to Drive) while moving. Is this still true in todays cars, and if so what kind of damage can it cause?

I do Microsoft Paint art based mostly on cars and bikes, with some other subjects too, and turn them into videos, but need some suggestions for what to draw next. And maybe some feedback on my site so far.

I've only been drawing in Microsoft Paint for two or three weeks, using just a mouse and a copy of MS paint.
I'm a 17yr old student so thought it'd be a change to my usual work.
Theres also some of my normal artwork on there too.
Please could you suggest some ideas or comment on my site-

www.free webs.com/louisa911 (but remember to remove the space between "free" and "webs" else the link wont work.)

Thanks a lot,

also comments in my guestbook would be fantastic please, if you have any comments/appreciation for the work done on there :)

Thanks a lot

I drive an awful lot (some days close to 400 miles.) So I want an SUV that is comfortable and capable off road because sometimes we have to drive through 12" of snow and off-road to get to our cabin. Decent gas mileage is nice too. I have about $30,000 to spend. I was thinking maybe like An '06 grand cherokee, an '05 Land Rover LR3, a Volkswagen Touareg, or something like that. Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks

K so I bought a 2002 white jetta about 4 months ago. I have been driving a auto for my whole driving experience like 4 years. and I am terrifyed to drive it. I can shift gears when Im driving but when it comes to slowing down and putting it into neutral but when I dont end up coming to a full stop I get confused on what gear to put it in. I cant down shift and the worst part is i am having such a hard time starting off from first. I get so scared when a car is behind me and I try not to shift to fast so I dont stall but then I end up going to slow where I start rolling backward and also if im going too slow starting they end up honking at me and end up stalling. No matter how much I practice Im not confortable driving and iv almost gotten into so many accidents cuz Im so confused when driving. So i havent driven it in 2 months. I need help if theres an easyier way to learn. DO they have classes on how to drive a manual? I live in sacramento ca. Thanks so much!!!

We hear this and that about transmissions failing on Chryslers, faulty cruise controls on Fords, and goodness knows what about GM vehicles, while the Japanese/Korean/Other Asian Country manufacturers are making the money. I'm trying to buy my first car (used), but I really can't make a decision. Half of me wants to go and buy a Chrylser 300C or a Dodge Charger, some other part of me wants me to buy an Acura TL or an Infiniti G35. I also want to think about buying a European car like a Mercedes, BMW, or an Audi. I've even considered Volvo as my first, but even they can't keep up in some cases ( http://wcco.com/national/topstories_story_228082334.html ) It's confusing and maddening. I want to get a car with good fuel economy, and one with quality and safety. Yet everyone wants for people to buy American cars. Most of the workers are in China, perhaps that's why American car companies are suffering, as well from HORRIBLE management, in part of GM and Ford.

I lost my only set of car keys so I contacted a 24 hour locksmith (it was midnight when I lost them and needed to get home) and he charged $180 to basically open the car door and make a key using the lock from my trunk... which took less than15 minutes. Was I ripped off?

Also, does anyone know how I would go about getting a genuine key (one w/ the black plastic embedded at the body of the key) and another keyless entry remote?

All responses are greatly appreciated!

My uncle's car is gone! He was planning to sell it. When he went to work at 4 am the car was still there, but when I woke up which was about 8am the car was gone! I think my uncle still has the keys and he's prett sure the doors were locked. If someone stole it. How could they have done it? And I mean there were tons of other cars there that were way nicer than my uncle's car, why did they get his? Any opinions would help! Thanks.

how can i lesson the effects of wash board,
I had my shocks looked at and they are fine, i tried over 100 pounds of sand in the back of the pickup and still super jaring.
Is this just how these small trucks handle. My whife hates it and thinks we are going to fly of the road. Driving faster is a bit smother, but dangerous and going slow is real bad unless i keep it around 5mph....are ther special shocks out there, or is is like they say Slow and Steady Wins the Race...

Thanks
