I drive an awful lot (some days close to 400 miles.) So I want an SUV that is comfortable and capable off road because sometimes we have to drive through 12" of snow and off-road to get to our cabin. Decent gas mileage is nice too. I have about $30,000 to spend. I was thinking maybe like An '06 grand cherokee, an '05 Land Rover LR3, a Volkswagen Touareg, or something like that. Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks

Try out a Toyota Highlander Hybrid. 33k and 28/31 MPG.

Cherokee, Land Rover, and Touareg are some of the most unreliable cars produced today. Check out www.edmunds.com. It will give you vehicle side by side comparrison and also a true price to own over a period of 5 years. This is based history of manufacturers warranty and repair services performed on those vehicles.

Toyota comes in at a multiplier of 1.52 over 5 yrs
Grand Cherokee at 1.79 over 5 yrs
Land Rover at 1.61 over 5 yrs
VW Touareg at 1.58 over 5 years

These small percentage differences are worth 1000's of dollars to you in the end, plus an SUV with 30 MPG is hard to get.

Good Luck

You should try a Honda Fit (they can fit a llama in the back). It has an MPG of 27. It is a pretty good car and usually Honda's are pretty good. If youdon't think that that will work for you you hsould get the Hyundai Sonata instead of the Landrover ( cheaper but it has fewer cup holder), the MPG of it is 21 and that's pretty good. M friend also has a GMC Yukon and it is a really good car with an MPG of 14 (not he greatest) and ya, I hope this information helps you. GOOD LUCK!

You should go with the jeep. It has room and it's very capable off road. I have a wrangler, but it sounds like you have some people and stuff to transport when you go places. So , the cherokee is a good choice.

so a strategies as i comprehend, whoever "hits" has the criminal duty or is "at fault". In different phrases, insurance companies and regulation enforcements standpoint is, "in case you're following all of the guidelines of the line and safety, there is on no account any reason to hit something." Now, if there replaced into ice on the line, that could desire to atleast make issues lean greater on your want, yet i think of you may desire to have a image taken that day of the stretch of highway you slid on. it incredibly is why they say you may desire to consistently have atleast a disposable digicam on your automobile to take a image of an accident and accident scene on the day of the accident, alongside with a cellular telephone, your insurance suggestions, motive force's license and registration. optimistically you have automobile insurance which pays even no count if it is your fault, or if not, diverse acquaintances and family individuals which will help you in this time of disaster. there is diverse different factors to evaluate: replaced into the two of the drivers applying together as impaired, or in a hurry, did the two bypass away the scene of the accident earlier regulation enforecement arrived, what variety of autos have been in touch, did the two have automobile insurance-dl license-registration-etc... So optimistically, possibly there is different factors that are on your want right here. In the two case, it incredibly is a take-heed call to alwayschronic effectively and defensively and shop as lots area between you and different shifting autos or gadgets as accessible, have a seat belt on, and haven't any distractions like listening to the radio, ingesting, ingesting, speaking on a cellular telephone, etc... i comprehend all this because of the fact i've got been applying for years now, and characteristic in hassle-free terms been in some injuries. In each accident different than one, somebody hit me and for some reason none of them even had a motive force's license!!!! in the accident the place I hit somebody, I rear ended somebody, merely such as you probably did. So considering the fact that I "hit", it replaced into my fault, even in spite of the undeniable fact that the automobile in front of me stopped short and actually rapid, not giving me any time to end. the only difficulty that saved me replaced into that the automobile I hit left the scene of the accident, and, from what I comprehend, it replaced into some variety of insurance rip-off on the area of the different motive force.
