My uncle's car is gone! He was planning to sell it. When he went to work at 4 am the car was still there, but when I woke up which was about 8am the car was gone! I think my uncle still has the keys and he's prett sure the doors were locked. If someone stole it. How could they have done it? And I mean there were tons of other cars there that were way nicer than my uncle's car, why did they get his? Any opinions would help! Thanks.

It is very easy to break onto a car and hot wire it.
It only needs a piece of wire to pop the locks from beside the window ( about 15 seconds for someone who knows how to do it). and to hot wire is only a matter of pulling the plug out of the ignition switch and jumping power with jump wires until it starts, not hard if you know the wiring ( supplied in every repair manual) this takes about a minute.
As for why i can only hope for your uncle's sake that it was joy riders looking for a thrill, in which case you may get the car back relatively undamaged. the other case is that was stolen for parts or re birthing by criminals.
Best of luck in getting it back.

Does anybody else he know have the keys? Otherwise it could have been hot wired? It's not too hard to get into the car.... Or there is a way I saw on the news awhile back that you can get a code off the car, take it to a store, and get a key for that car.

Well, if it`s japanese, the key tumblers are made of butter, and they just start with a screwdriver.. GM rear wheel drive cars from the early 80`s and newer have plastic steering columns that they break to unlock a lever in there, which starts the car.

Hard to say for sure. My guess is that whoever stole it is running a chop shop and they needed a body part that matched your Uncle's car. Hope that the police can catch them. good luck.
