back of a 2006 Chrysler Town and Country?

2007-04-26 00:41:18 · 5 answers · asked by ca_oss 2

I use to drive a Honda Civic bought regular gas, and never had this problem, last week I bought a Infiniti G35 coupe and now have to buy premium gas.

I've filled the G four times now, and twice it's happened. I'll go to the station, prepare at the pump outside with my visa, and start filling it. It takes $70 to fill it to full, but the gas stopped pumping at $30 or so.

I am 25, but I am not spoiled nor superrich, I did pay for the car myself....do you think the gas attendant see the car, then see me and decide to have some "fun"? Twice I'd been able to fill it until it's fun, one time I put in the pump, it pumped out $1, then stopped, I pumped it again, stopped at $2, did it again, stopped at $3, finally the forth time it let me fill until it was full, some $50 later. And no my credit card has no preset limit at gas stations.

I'm having the front driver's side window replaced on my vehicle. It was completely shattered. They want to charge me $180 for the replacement window and to install it.
My question? Is that a fair price to charge? I have a '99 Ford Taurus. Do you think I could get a better deal?
They also come out to your house and do the work.

Is it me? Or are there a disturbing amount of people asking stuff like "what oil should I use" and "what tyre pressure" in the auto secton?

Don't people read handbooks anymore? Are people these days just lazy?

Near future, like within the next 5 - 10 years.

E85 - Ethanol?
Biodiesel?
Vegetable Oil?
Plug-in Hybrid?
Hydrogen?
Electric only?

Anything I've left out?

I've seen several programs that say you can run a diesel car on vegetable oil, although modifications need to be made because vegetable will thicken up at cool temps.

My question is, could I run the veg oil without modifying the car, if I ran it as a mix with diesel, say 50-50? I'm talking about clean unused vegetable oil.

A secondary question. How much filtering would used vegetable oil require? When I was in the restaurant biz, we used to filter ours every night with what were essentially tough oversize coffee filters. Is that all that is required?

Seems like they've been almost completely phased out over the last 10 years. I know newer materials dent less easily, but it seems like bumpers (especially the rubberized kind) didn't get scuffed up or dented....
