I wouldn't expect it to snap, because by pulling it on you're making the handbrake shoes hold the disc. Pull too hard, & you'll just unnecessarily wear shoes & discs. It doesn't need to be pulled too hard to hold.

Yes, but not the lever itself and it also depends on how old the car is. The handbrake lever in the cab of your car/truck is attached to a cable that runs under your vehicle to one of the back brakes, usually the rear passenger. This cable is the one that could snap or stretch. It will most likely stretch and need to be tightened rather then snap.

No unless it's rusted but you can perhaps bend a bracket that holds the cable about mid ship of the car. I have seen that happen or they break something in the brake pull rod.

that question is too subjective ; what type of car is it : is it a after market part or stock ; are u sure that is a hand brake and not a emeregeny brake;i beleive that there is a difference but not much; the hand brake is used alot in drag racing to lock up front wheels to get the back ones spinningsafely without putting to much wear on the brakes and transmition

Most hand brakes are on a cable so yes you can break them'
or the plastic handle could also fail if you abuse it , just think about how much fun it would be to jerk the handle...it engages and breaks....how are you going to release the brakes then???

I'd rather have a automatic and throw in park. It would be neat to have a hand brake work like in video games but I've never personally driven one that was

You would have to be King Kong to snap it. that is a safety device and must be built to extreme overkill tolerances
