I agree it will help in numerous ways:
1. Cleaner fuel (then gasoline)
2. Supports farmers
3 Wont have to depend on other countries for oil
....
but i have one good argueing fact to using Corn fuel:
The price for Fuel will be more then Regular Gasoline
so what are your opinons on corn oil?

was about a foot away from the intersection when the light changed from green to yellow and i proceeded trying to make the light when another car making a left also trying to make the light rammed into my van. My van was badly crushed on the left front hood. A witness who apparently was biased ( the person who crashed into my car and the witness were chatting waiting for the cop to arrive). After the officer arrived (in about 15 minutes) I was asked for my license and registration and was served with red light violation citation ? I am 100% positive that the light was not red when I crossed the intersection. The police officer was not present when the accident happened, he did not ask me my version of as to what had happened ? I was given an unfair citation based on the witness's account who probably sympathized with the guy who hit me ?
What should I do ? Shouldn't the officer ask me my side of the story ? If I was crossing the intersection at yellow, I still had the right of way , the person who hit me was also trying to make the light, was trying to make a left.
Should I get an attorney? I have a clean record.

I am interested in using bio-deisel fuel instead of gasoline. The hardest part seems to be finding a diesel - engine car to buy. I dont want a truck, but we cant make due with a small car either. Would Canada have better options? I live in NY

I honestly would like to know! I was a little annoyed today while driving down the M6 to see so many lorries hogging the lanes - they may have been overtaking another slower lorry in the slow lane but come on - they weren't really going all that much faster! All it did was force other (faster) drivers to have to cram into one lane to get by. This makes me wonder if lorries are the cause of a lot of traffic jams....

I have a Buick Lesabre and whenever we go up a
not-very steep hill (we live in Kansas) the car seems
to bog down and go slow until we straighten out again
It also seems to cut out a little but the car runs fine
if youre going downhill or on level streets
What could be the problem?

I am making a trip with friends to california. We wanted to get a rental car one way, then fly home. A friend at work told me that years ago he got in touch with a car transport company, that actually "hired" him i guess you could call it, to deliver the car. He signed paper work, they filled it up with gas and told him where it needed to go. So basically he did them a service, and got to use the car as his "free" one way rental that he needed for his one way trip across the country. Has anyone ever heard of this?????????

I'm talking about upgrading performance as well as style. I know the honda civic is one but i want to start off with a car that already has a good engine, etc etc. For example the toyota camry has a 3.0 L engine but it is impossible to find a supercharger or a turbocharger on it. Whereas the civic has a 1.8L engine but finding a turbocharger for it is way easier.

I'm looking for a car that has a 2.5L+ engine which can be upgraded easily.
thanks!

A friend and i are arguing... everyone is against him.. i'm trying to prove him wrong, but if i happen to be wrong, then so be it..

His view: he thinks that if he drives under 3000rpm then he'll save more gas... he says that the rpm is purely what controlls how much gas is consumed..

my view: i say that the rpms matter, but not as much as what he says.. the gas pedal is what controls the gas consumption.. for ex. if you slam the pedal to the floor, but stay under 3000rpms, you'll still waste more gas than just going over 3000rpm normally.. i say that the rpms matter, but it's also how you drive/shift... like.. it more depends on how you drive then to concentrate on the rpms.

I mean, there are so many ways today, but none of them seem to give you the better end of things. Auctions don't work for the public, particularly because you can't get a good deal on a popular car because it will be bid to its real value. Government auctions also aren't the best deals in town. Buying used cars from dealers also seems tricky, especially when there are the too good to be true deals and CARFAX is a joke(supposedly). Up till now, I think buying from an independent seller is the best choice. What do you guys think? I'm in the market for a used car, since I'm broker than Zoidberg, and I'm kinda leaning toward a vette'(but they have high resale values) or a S2000. How would you buy a used car(assuming you're poorer than a red lobster doctor)? Gracias!

If superman was walking across the road and I didn't see him until I hit him and wrapped my bumper around him, would it be a crime on my part even though there is no way possible that I could have hurt superman (he IS superman . . .)?

Does it make any difference if he had been on a crosswalk?

Hi there,

I'm wondering if there are any types of pet carriers or other portable unit (crate, pen, etc) that have either attached air-conditioning, or if something can be attached.

This would not be for constant use. My enclosed-bed pick-up truck is not air-conditioned (maybe a unit can be installed in the back canopy??). For the rare time that I might need to take a pet for an unexpected trip to a vet, I worry when it gets warm, and am looking for a solution that would not entail my having to sell my vehicle, or installing an a/c system "after-market" which I have discovered will cost me thousands (and presumable only installs the a/c to the front cab).

I was hoping that there may be something that is available to animal care professionals or rescue associations that I might look into, or if any car-savvy person can think of some alternatives.

Thanks,
Linda
