I have a Buick Lesabre and whenever we go up a
not-very steep hill (we live in Kansas) the car seems
to bog down and go slow until we straighten out again
It also seems to cut out a little but the car runs fine
if youre going downhill or on level streets
What could be the problem?

No it doesnt change gears, it goes slower and seems to be working harder to try to get uphill, eventhough the hill is like 25 degrees and not very steep at all

I had an older car before that had spark plug issues and it would cut out and seem to "vibrate" the car when it was idling, and it seems to do the same thing to this car but only when going uphill.. it cuts out a little and goes slower

When you are going uphill, will the car down shift into a lower gear, if it bogs down? If not then you have some kind of transmission problem.

Have you tried pressing harder on the gas pedal?

Automatics shift down when you give the car more gas, allowing the car engine run at a higher rev band and thus produce more torque.

If that doesn't work, you may have a transmission problem.

By the way, a 25 degree hill is a 47% grade hill, which is very steep for normal cars to climb (especially an older, heavier LeSabre)

How old is your LeSabre?
