I need this for my test, but I always practiced in my instructor's car-a Dodge Neon. As you may know, the Neon's front end is WAY smaller than the sunfire's. I had the technique perfected with the neon, following this regime:
Assuming the parking spot is on the right, pull up close until you can see the back end of the car ( you're parking behind ) in your back right window.
Then dry steer and turn the wheel the whole way to the right and slowly back in until creating a 45 degree angle with your car to the curb.
Then stop and dry steer the whole way to the left, continue and back up. If you need any room, you can turn the wheel 1 1/2 times and pull forward or backward.
Now, here's my problem, when attempting this in my Sunfire, my front end becomes uncomfortably close to hitting the back end of the other car, whereas the Neon fit perfectly.. What act can I alter to make the job easier in the sunfire?
