GO look up the mileage from mapquest. And use the Math you learn from grammar school, divide that number by how much mileage ur car gets per mile. Mostly highway, then multiply by how much per gallon

total miles / ur car's epa rating x cost per gallon.

No doubt it depends, going there with a Toyota Corolla or prius is huge different from a Hummer H3. You didnt even provide that info.

There are just sooooo many variables (gas prices, routes, traffic delays etc.. ) but here is a way to get a rough estimate

1) Use Yahoo maps to come up with a route for you that you think you will take. Take a note of the total mileage that it estimates for that route. Add a fudge factor of about 5% for when you get lost or take a detour..

2) Here in California the gas runs about $3.30 a gallon (ouch)
Average that with the price in Ill. to get your typical gas cost.

3) YOU know what your car gets in miles so use those two values to figure out about what your gas cost will be.

happy trails.................

Depends on the car you drive. Assume about 2,000 miles.

About $280.00 if you get 20 mpg at $2.80/gallon average

or

About $186.00 if you get 30 mpg at 2.80/gallon average
