I have a 1990 Vovlo 740 GL station wagon. It runs great the only problem is that it leans to the left even when there is nobody or no cargo in it. I checked to make sure the spare tire and jack weren't on one side but they were in the middle. And even so, that shuldn't make a car lean like that. Its not super significant but it is noticeable.

I checked the tire pressure and all 4 tires are properly inflated.
-Thanks-

For a 17 year old car, it could be one or more of the springs are getting weak.....I would take it to a body shop or alignment shop and ask them to inspect it to see if the "ride height" is correct. The "ride height" is a meaurement from the floor to certain points on the front and rear of the car and they should have the information available from a computer program or frame books to see if the car is riding at the proper level or not and where the problem might be. Just be aware that if one corner is low or high, the opposite corner of the car may be the problem too, such as, if the back right corner is high, the problem could be a weak spring in the front left corner. And springs should be replaced in pairs either front or back.
Hope this helps, Paul

You have a dead body in the back..... seriously.... it is a bad suspension, the springs are worn out on the left side, either coil or leaf spring. You will need to replace them.

Did you try getting new shocks? That would be my first item to check.
