Yes, unfortunately almost 4,000 people have been electrocuted so far on those buses that they make in Michigan and Kansas.

Trolleys, trains and some buses have been operating on electricity for decades. I would say the risk for the riders to be very small with regards to electrocution.
(Electrocution is more of a danger for "live" train tracks or if overhead wires were knocked down by accident.)

Highly unlikely. In order to be electrocuted a person needs to be a part of the circut. When riding on an electric bus the passengers would be "out of the way" of the flow of electricity. To put it another way, going through the people would be the long way around and electricity doesn't like to do that.

No. Electric busses have been around for a long time and are very safe.
The reason they have 2 poles is that the current comes in on one, passes thru the motor and passes out the other pole.
Electric busses are very cool.Very quiet and smooth running. When thy pass by, they make cool "singing" and sparks on the wire.
Give it a try.
We have them in Seattle. They are also all over San Fran and there is a fleet of them in Boston and other cities.
They're safe.

You cannot because Buses use DC (direct current) we have the second largest trolley fleet in the world here in Vancouver and no one has ever been electrocuted by a bus, but you do have to sit on a bus so you will have to decide which is worse

Are you worried about getting electrocuted in your home? There's electricity in all the walls, you know.
*
Subways, trollies, airport shuttles, and various forms of mass transit have used electricity for decades. I've never heard of an electrocution.
*
Frankly, gasoline is far more dangerous.

I'm sure you are safe. There are fuses and GFI circuits that would prevent that from happening. There are a bunch of electric vehicles out there and I haven't heard of anyone get juiced. Don't worry you're all right.

People can't get electrocuted in a bus any more than you could burn in a gas vehicle
