You just have to get stuck in. Go driving in Your free time and just drive, especially in built up areas, and You'll soon shake off the fear.

i'm not sure what you have to worry about. driving a car is one of the most execlent things on the planet. have no fear my dear, walk up to your car take a deep breath, get in, close your eyes take another deep breath, start the engine close your eyes take a deep breath, and begin. start with just driving around your neighborhood until you are comfortable in your car and then try the real road. try a to find a road with very little traffic, and slowly work your way up to driving on the highway good luck my friend

If you are that scared I wonder if you should be on the roads. I have had a licence for 50 years, and I have never had an accident or a driving offence. I hope you don't live near me. Perhaps you could let us know before you venture out.
And remember: mirror, signal, manoeuvre.

Typical 'Girlie' question!
If your that scared, why not ask a fella to get the little spider out of your car before you get in it?

On the other hand, us fellas usually get scared when a girl gets behind the wheel, so it's stalemate, I'm afraid!

(just kidding! Go for it, woman, and stop wingeing)

i know how you feel. i used to be terrified of driving myself.. but you passed your dring test for a reason... either you're really cute, or you can really drive. if you're in the u.s. then you should know that americans are the most careless & irresponsible living creatures on earth. (look at out speed limits & look @ germany's you'll see a huge diffenrence) so you should be worried about other divers then yourself.... but as long as you know you're doing the right theing then you should have nothing to worry about. im not saying all your driving experiences are gona be perfect but if your being cautious. then 9times out of 10 you will not be in the wrong.

You must do it, I know it's hard but you don't want all that hard work to go to waste. I can't remember what I was like I passed 16 years ago. Ask a member of your family or a friend to go with you and give you some support. And Congratulations.

When I passed my driving test it took me about 6 weeks to pluck up the courage to driva anywhere by myself! Its normal to be nervous....don't worry. You just need to get out there and do it, start by taking someone you know who drives with you (another pair of eyes alwasy reassures me). I started driving by myself on easy roads i know well late at night when its quiet! It worked though! The only way to get over it is to get out there and do it
