If hydrogen is actually costing 6 to 15 times the energy to manufacture, will cost trillions to provide the infrastructure, then why are so many trying to push it? If battery powered vehicles (full electrics) are only able to get 20 to 75 miles per charge, why do we like them? Personally I like the idea of the new clean diesel engines being provided, and mated with hybrid technology. Pros? Diesel fuel infrastructure is already in place, only needs a little expansion. Hybrid tech is already showing itself to be superior to hydrogen in durability, and in cost savings. Cons - I dont really see them... modern diesels are cleaner, quieter and more powerful than ever. Hybrids, especially with the American mindset of GO GO GO are showing they can go and save fuel. Tell me some of your ideas and thoughts on this topic. Enjoy

I want to decorate my friend's car for her birthday and put on the windows Happy Birthday, 17!, etc. I want to use those car paint things that are washable so I can remove it like the next day or in two days [whichever], but I'm not sure where I can find any. Does anyone know? Or more like... does anyone know what I'm talking about? =]

I guess I could take the rad cap off and add two fittings, one for a vacuum tester (it also works as a pressurizer), and one for a bicycle pump inner tube stem, then just pump her up to 15 lbs. and wait. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Vince

Is there a way to get and use a normal ignition key that doesn't have the big bulky chip on the end? I carry enough keys in my pocket and now I have a new key that's larger than all the other keys put together. I bought a new Mini Cooper.

Odd question, I purchased this vehicle a few weeks ago and can't figure out to make dome lights come on when the doors are opened, I'm thinking somebody disconnected something somewhere. They come on manually, but if I set the switch so they would come on when you open the doors, they stay on regardless, like the switch would be in the on position. The door lights go on and off when the doors are opened and closed, the bell dings when door is opened and keys are left in it, so I'm confused on the dome light issue. Any help would be much appreciated.

so the other night, I was pulled over and the cop said he clocked me going 92 in a 65 zone.

the problem with that is, I have a radar detector that is pretty sensitive and goes crazy whenever i'm near a grocery store, let alone a cop radar. but this thing didn't go off at all when i passed the cop. also, when i passed the cop and i saw his headlights turn on, i looked down and saw 83mph.

my question is this: Do I try to fight this thing? Does saying "my radar detector didn't go off" count for anything in court? can this guy actually prove that he clocked me going 92? i live in philly pa and the ticket is 189 bucks and counts for 5 points on my license if i'm guilty.

lemme know your experiences with fighting tickets, radar guns and if they provide some sort of proof the cop can produce. i figure if they don't have some sort of radar reading, they can't prove me guilty.

Are car parking regulations only in effect when a sign is displayed?
I live in South West London, and there's a road nearby me where I want to park. There are no signs on it, and no lines on the side of the road at all.
Is there anything that would make it illegal to park there? People seem to be there with and without permits, but I would want to leave my car there all day. I don't want a fine!
