Why should the gas be shut off on the bike if its sitting for a few hours or days . / I can see if it is going to set for a month but sometimes I just forget to shut it off ,the longest it sets is maybe 3 days

I bought a motorcycle that had 22,000 miles on it. The guy swore it only had 12,000 because it skipped "1" and went from 9999 to 20000. I puchased it as if it did have 22,000 miles but am wondering if anyone has ever heard of this happening.

A friend of mine changed his motorcycle battery recently. I've ridden it before and after. With the new battery it jump and wants to stall whenever it feels like it. Is it the battery or possibly something else???

Hi
My motorbike just blew over in strong winds, i picked it up and drove it around to another side of the car park (more protected from the wind) but noticed the throttle was very hard to apply as twisting it took a fair bit of effort and it refused to automatically return to 0 upon letting it go.
Any ideas what this could be or how to rectify it without paying £70 to have it looked at by a mechanic

I have 76 honda CJ 360T it has 16000 on it..
I know some of you guys seen me before...asking alot of questions
and i really thank you guys for answering my question....
I was thinking yesterday and i thought maybe the Exhaust is still clogged!! and that's why trottle would not work sometimes...(I "cleaned" it with soaking with fuel and coke for a day)
so i took out the exhaust and started it. It starts fine as always and I drove it home. It drove fine....but still kinda sounds weird so i tried to adjust the idle mixture screw again...It really does not do anything...no RPM changes.maybe a little but it always goes back
After "adjusting" a little, I drove it and the trottle (RPM)would not go up again....full trottle was like...1400 RPM...without exhaust!!
the book saids very little about idle adjustment..
MAYBE I am on totally wrong...maybe it's some other thing that i can't think of....

Can you help me please!~~
