I'm thinking about getting a 2 stroke bike but don't want to be wrenching on it all the time. So I'm wonding how much on average shops charge to rebuilt the top end of these things.

In 2005 I tore my bike down and handed over the cracked frame (manufacturer's defect) to the local Duc shop in Charleston, SC. They claimed Ducati needed to decomission it prior to building my warranty replacement. I just got a certified letter from a cycle shop in Florida stating they had my (old) frame and had put a lien against it.

My suspicion is the SC Ducati dealer actually sold my frame to another party. I would confront them on this but have since moved to California and it's not as easy as just dropping by.

Maybe I should let this go? I have my new frame and am off and running...

Mayby I should confront the matter and pursue some sort of compensation?

What would you do?

Now i have changed the HT leads, i have checked that the coils work, i have check the compression of the cyliners also changed spark plugs i have even changed the ignitor box as the problem caused it to overheat and burn out. Not sure wat else is left maybe thinking of changing the pick up coil. Also the fuel line is not at fault, any help please

I have serviced my bike. new plugs , leads, filters, carbs seals. The compression is excellent. even had it dyno tuned. But yet after a while it starts to run on 3 and some times two cylinders. it not coils cause it never the same cylinders that go.unless i have two faulty coils. rest of the wiring is all fine, no shorts.

only things i have not replaced or tried are the valves and cdi unit.

any ideas what could be causing my troubles.

though it may appear a wiered idea but i think it will be very useful in getting (pulling) ur bike out of the parking lane(just for this application)and aligning it with the road with minimum efforts by providing high torque and very low speed as in case of the first gear

I am upgrading to a 125cc motocross bike. What should I get out of a Yamaha YZ125, Honda CR125, Suzuki RM125, Kawasaki KX125 or a KTM that is 125cc. Please could you tell me how much I could buy it for (as long as it's newer than 1997) And how tall I would need to be with the supension adjusted to make the seat low.

I've changed all spark pug wires
I've checked spark unit by reversing connectors, still intermittant spark on #4 .
I've checked manufacturer's specs on pulse generator ohms (530 ohms), reads perfect.

The strange thing is that if I unplug all spark plug wires from the spark plugs, there is no spark at any spark plug wires.

If I connect all spark plug wires and remove one at a time, then #1 has good spark (disconnected), #2 has no spark (disconnected) , #3 has good spark (disconnected), #4 has intermittent spark (disconnected).
If I remove #2 when the bike is running, then the bike dies. But when I check #2 for spark with the wire off the plug, there's no spark.
Is this a bad ground?

I have to pull little bit of a trottle when I start the bike.
I NEVER had to do that before.. My buddy said don't because it will flood the spark plug or something...but now, i have to pull a alittle to start it or it will NOT start!! why???

A guy pulled up to my bike at a stop light and I noticed his tires were Bridgestones with white letters but he poped a wheelie out of there so fast, I couldn't ask him how he got them white. My Friend said it's white wall paint. Has anyone ever seen or done this if so where did you buy the paint and whats the process
