Well i need an advice in how to tell my dad that i really want a bike (motorcycle). Well he thinks that its bad and he refuses to buy it for me, but I dont care because i would earn the money and buy it myself. He thinks i will crash and die somewhere and he always gets pissed off when i bring up a subject about me getting one. Now im 16 and ill turn 17 soon anyways does anyone know what might work, because i really want this bike. I was thinking of Yamaha R1 because i like the look of it and its not that expensive.
So can anyone tell me some tips to make my dad get on my side so i can get this bike.

I purchased my first atv recently, it is a honda rancher es. My friend just bought a yamaha bruin 350. I like both brands but chose honda because there were more creature comforts such as digital display and 12 volt power outlet. My atv was also about $1000 cheaper than his atv. His dad gives me **** about buying a honda, saying that they are crap. What can i tell him to piss him off? haha!

my bike is fitted with a 'capacitor discharge igniton system'
WHAT!?!
im a new biker, and im having trouble with my bike that is almost certainly electrical, but before i take it to a mechanic, i want to be certain that i cant fix it. (my bike cranks, but wont ignite, but it sparks- althoug it does look weak)

i need help with the following...

what is an ignition coil?
what is a CDI?
a source coil
and a pulsar coil?

any ideas were abouts to find them- itll make trouble shooting a lot easier...

On a motorcycle, if you come to a stop to the point that the wheels are literally stopped, but your feet never touch the ground before you go again, is it a legal stop?

I have a Harley Fat Boy and my mom thinks I should sell it and buy a scooter. I think I'm safer on my fat boy and she thinks I would be safer with a scooter. What do you think?

I am looking for a rack that can be put in and taken out of a pickup bed that can carry 3 quads. I can find ones that will carry two all day long, but 3 is a challenge.

Just wondering. Haven't checked out any new ones. All my old ones did. Most of the tools were still there when I got them.

I have a Yamaha TT-R 125LE and I want to put it up on a stand to get the wheels off the ground (or at least take some of the weight off of them). I plan on using just a 5 gallon bucket as a stand. Where is the best place to grab the bike and lift it up?
