I purchased my first atv recently, it is a honda rancher es. My friend just bought a yamaha bruin 350. I like both brands but chose honda because there were more creature comforts such as digital display and 12 volt power outlet. My atv was also about $1000 cheaper than his atv. His dad gives me **** about buying a honda, saying that they are crap. What can i tell him to piss him off? haha!

Just take the high road, and ignore his negative comments. Simply tell him that you bought what you like, and you're happy with it. Try not to get into a mud-slinging war, just let him know that your glad he's happy with his, and you're happy with yours. I expect that you'll get good service from your Honda. Many years ago, I had a Honda 250cc three-wheeler that I used to pull my airplane (a pretty large twin-engine bird) in and out of the hangar (as well as running around the airport, and through the desert), and it never broke, always started, pulled a 5,000 lb airplane without any hesitation, and required very little maintenance (never needed any repairs, just oil/filter changes, spark plugs, etc.). I've had several Honda motorcycles, and they are, simply, the most reliable bikes of all (BTW, the Yamaha Road Star motorcycles of the last several years were produced with defects in the transmissions that could, and did, lock up the rear wheel at speed, a guaranteed accident - yes, there was a recall, but there were also a lot of accidents due to poor engineering).

Ride Safe, and enjoy!

You can't say much unfortunately. Both companies have loyal followers. Right now Yamaha is on a high since they are winning the points standings in most motor events they are featured in. If you want to upset him in any way, make the best of the frills that your bike has to offer. The 12volt adapter probably has some uses that you can find to outshine the bruin. It's all about comfort, what you like and what you want to ride. If your happy with it, ignore him. Talk trash about what he has, but don't bring your freind in on the trash talking unless he starts in on it too.

Do a web search for "yamaha quad recall"
You'll find a good amount of recalls for every manufacturer. Even though Honda is #1 in the quality control department, they're no exception.
But we're talking about you and your friend's dad. Go to every Yamaha recall site and print out incriminating items that you can shove in his face LOL

Just look up the sales volume of Honda and Yahmaha. There is a reason more people buy one over the other.
