I don't know. What's the fastest motorcycle in the world? What kind of motorcycle should I buy? What's the best bike for a beginner? Why isn't there a law so you have to wear a helmet? Why are Harleys so loud?

As others have indicated, the "best" bike depends on how you are going to be riding, your experience and personal preferences.
Your first step is to decide what type of riding you will be doing. No one can advise you until you do.

If you haven't already, you should also enroll in a MSF safety course, costs around 60-70 dollars and will reduce your risk of a fatal crash.

For what purpose? Be specific on you question. The best touring bike is not the same as the best sport bike, or dirt bike. And for that matter, my bike is the best!

Harley if you want to be loud, Ducati if you want performance, Honda if you want the least maintenance.

I say get one of each and ride depending on your mood.

This is all on personal oppinion!! You go to a Honda owner they will say their's is the best and so on and so forth!!! I personally like the Yamaha YZF R6. All you can do is buy one ride it for awhile and then go for something else till you find what you like best!!
