80/80-16;

The first number is the section width in millimeters.

The second number is the aspect ratio. In your case the section width is 80 mm, roughly 2.5 inches.

The aspect ratio number is telling you that the height of the tire is 80% of it's width.

The last number is the tires diameter. 16 = 16 inches.

So if you can't find an 80/80-16 to replace it with, something along the lines of a 2.50 ~2.75 X 16 will work.

According to my calculations, Your required tire would be about 21 inches in diameter, and about 3 and 1/4 (3.25) inches in tread width.

Nomad knows what he's talking about here.
Here's a metric - SAE conversion guide for tires. It doesn't go down to 80/80
.25" + or - won't make a difference.
