I plan on buying a new motorbike soon and don't know what kind to get.

there are all just about equal now. i still prefer suzuki's. the most power and most reliable i have found. been riding/racing suzuki's ONLY for the last 16 years.

All japanese are comparable. 2 stroke and 4 stroke(thumpers) 4 stroke are less maintence, not as peppy but tons of torque. I like Yamaha myself. Competition is great for buyers, any name brand would be good. No cheapo!
