i haven't had my 2002 honda accord ex v6 serviced in 5 years (bought it new). i need to take to have it serviced, but i would like to know how i should tell the mechanic what i want. do i just say that i want a tune-up? i guess i just don't know exactly what a tune-up really is so i'd like some pointers. i don't want to go in there sounding totally ignorant.

fwiw, the maintenance light is also on.

I have a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The power door locks are slowly starting to die. It started with my rear locks only working once in awhile and now the driver side only locks manually. I'm looking for any suggestions before I take it to a mechanic. I'm in a new town and don't know any reputable mechanics yet. Thanks!

I'm lookin for a kit car. I want either a Lamborghnin or a Ferrari kit. If it's a Ferrari kit, i prefer a Ferrari F360 kit. I want a COMPLETE KIT for a very reasonable price, and that i have to do very minimal work to do the conversion.

everything was fine until yesterday when i left the lights on in the mall parking lot, the battery was dead, and i jumped it with a batter pack. The car started up fine, but now every so often it just dies on me while driving, everthing electrical goes off as well. once i turn the key off and back on it starts back up and runs ok. this did not happen until after yesterday, the battery is about 2 years old

When I start the car the AC will only blow to the windshield defroster. After 10 15 minutes of the engine running the AC will blow through the vents. If a turn the corner or hit a bump the AC then blows hot air. I have to shut off the AC and then turn it back on and then it blows cold air.Any ideas would be appreciated

I have the "Motor Trend" 500 Peak Amp Mini Jumpstart System with Twin Lights and 2 DC Ports....used to help jumpstart your car when it won't start. All it has is the two jumper cables. I'm trying to figure how to use it? And...no I'm not that dumb, but I'm wanting to know if I put the cables on the battery and then turn the key or do I need to do anything else? Any correct order (red/black)? Thanks! (first time jumper/user of one of these things)

'91 Ford E150 van. Noticed that van was straining while driving as if it wasn't in gear. Then when I went to park and put it in reverse it didn't move nor did it pull in drive gear and did not move at all in lowest gear. Check fluids and all is good there. Shut vehicle off. When I started van the next day it was giving whining noises and also fanning type sounds. Of course it hard to say but please advise on least and worst case scenerios...average price ranges etc. Either way I will be taking it to AAMCO Transmission but I would like to have an idea and not feel that I may be scammed, especially if it just may be a minor tranny problem versus a major one.

and when I was on the motorway the other day driving at about 63mph I had to break suddenly and the car just carried on for a while before stopping. There is a metal bullbar on the front of the 4x4 which came with the car [which I'm getting removed ] could this be causing the problem?
The day I took it out of the garage it had passed it's MOT and had been fully serviced.. and I have noticed that at speeds over about 50mph it does have this tendency to not stop striaght away which is obviously worrying so I am not dirving it for the meanwhile.
What could be the problem and how could it be rectified if the MOT passed it as fine?

If I bought a 2 gallon air compressor or a 200 gallon air compressor, what is the difference, why is it important?
I understand that the compressor would have to run more often on a smaller tank, but is this a bad thing?

I just got a 96 Pontiac Grand AM SE 3.1L and the gas mileage is deplorable. The person I got it from never maintained the car so there are a number of fixes. Could it be a fuel pump, fuel filter, or sensor, and how do I check that? To help out It takes about 30 dollars to fill it up, So I figure it's a 10 gallon tank. sometimes I can literaly see the needle move two ticks just to go 15 miles and then sometimes it will look like I magically have more gas in the tank cause the needle will move back up a whole tick.

I know a few, adding 90W gear oil or transmission fluid to the engine to cover up low oil pressure problems, or making a quick patch from bondo and paint thinner and wax paper to cover up rusted holes in the body.

The other day I changed my oil, and I put in an oil filter made for a ford, but it was a bit shorter than the one in my car. Would that hurt my car at all? BTW, its a 96 ford taurus.
