i just bought a white vw new beetle i love it but it'd be better if it was pink.. im not sure how much somehting like that would cost though

Well, it's more expensive to change colors dramatically, but your car might not look too bad with white paint everywhere inside and the pink everywhere outside. See what http://www.maaco.com says at one of their local body shops. A standard job there is $700

In addition to the monetary cost of doing it, it will probably cost you a few hundred off the resale value.
It will probably have a cost in dignity, as well.

if you got a 66 for 4500 the paint job is probably the last thing you should be thinking about right now
