I can close my door on my 1988 Ranger truck all day long and very rarely will it close all the way. It's like this on both my driver and passenger door. I've noticed that my door latch striker is missing the little yellowish thing that goes around it. Could this be what is causing my problem? I need this fixed ASAP I've already had my door to fly open while going down the road. HELP!!!!!

When we questioned a dealer about a Kia we ultimately ended up purchasing he assured us just "routine maintenance" had been done. Two weeks after bringing home the vehicle it began overheating and was undriveable. When we took the car to the same mechanic who had worked on it, we were surprised to find out the water pump had been replaced as well as the timing belt and several other repairs. My question is would these repairs fall under minor rountine repairs or should the dealer disclosed this information to us? We don't want to be stuck with a "dead horse" so to speak. If this salesperson was misleading we have a good chance of getting our money back from what I understand.

Mine is now over 5 years old.... in the same VW Golf I bought new from the dealership. With winter coming up...... I don't want to risk being caught out, as my friend said that you shouldn't rely on a car battery over 5 years.

However I don't like paying for something that maybe, for all I know, has another 5 years of life in it.

I have a 2006 Mazda 6 s 5 door. I just hit 30K miles and my 2 front tires are in terrible shape. They are Pirelli 215/45R P Zero Nero M+S. This is the first time I hae ever had a car with high performance tires. Is this a normal amount of miles to get on this type of tire? I used to drive a mini van so I am used to tires that get a lot more miles than that. Thanks!

it turns over, it has gas, the battery has been checked and charged, fuel pump works, fuel filter is not clogged, brand new spark plugs, didn't even start with starter fluid or a jump start.

I've had the traking checked twice but they (Kwik Fit) claim it's perfect. What else could it be? It was fine before I changed the tyres.

I had a bit of a shock today when I took my 1998 Cutlass in to have the water pump changed. I expected to pay for parts (around 30.00), labor (50 per hour) and coolant. I did not expect to be charged an extra $12.00 per item (totaling 24.00) because the power steering and the air conditioner (as listed separately on the bill) made the job difficult. Is this a new thing? I pay a total labor charge of $66.00 and then I pay even more because the job is challenging?

Looking into buying some of these ebay coilovers that are real cheap. I know a lot of you will dog on these but they're just to get me by until I get money for a real decent setup. Just don't know if there's any welding involved for these or if its just a quick and dirty slap in. Reason I'm getting these at all is because I just bought this car and the previous owner cut off too much on the OEM springs, making my back wheels bow inwards too much. As a result the front tires almost hit the inside fenderwell when making turns. Just need something a little more decent than cut off springs at this point. Has anybody installed these ebay coilovers on their car?? Was it easy? Are they somewhat decent?? Thanks

Ok so today I was driving while it was raining, I have a 01 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT, As I reached 60 on the freeway my car starts to pull one side to the other. I niticed this last time it was raining so it's not the first time this happened. My car shakes normaly due to two motor mounts that are broken. I also have different tires on the car which is my first clue. I have two mitchelin in front and two yokohama on the back from which one is more worned out that the other. I also think my shocks are in bad shape since the the ride keeps getting worse over time.

They are the ones that were recalled by Ford and Firestone about 7-8 years ago...you know the ones that would fall apart while driving and send your car into a barrell roll. Well my question is...can I get money from Firestone still? They are brand new and never used, but Firestone only offered refunds on 4 tires. So I got my 4 tires replaced but I also had 2 others. What can I do? Should I contact Firestone and see if they will give me a credit?
