There has to be a hole on the floorboard. Get under it and look. If you can't see anything then you are going to have to rip out the carpet back there.

sounds like you got a hole somewhere in the back so whenever it rains the water gets inside the car causing the back seat & drivers side floor to get wet. You should take it to either your dealership or a body shop to check it out.

Maybe rust on the floorboard and when you drive it splashes up and seeps through the carpet. Your back window may be leaking also to get the back seat damp...

I am willing to bet the water is either coming in through the lower rear weatherstripping @ the back window or the back window itself. How old is the car? Are the floorboards in good shape.

The rubber seals around doors. The door drains are clogged up at the bottom of the doors. The windshields are leaking. The taillight gasket seals are leaking.
Try sealing with:

you obviously have a leak. Do you have a sun roof? Take a hose and leave it on the roof also check around the windshield and rear window seals.

i might initiate with marvel absorbers or struts, counting on your motor vehicle. in the journey that your motor vehicle has extra desirable than 60-seventy 5,000 miles this could be a good commencing factor. Shocks and strut overall performance starts off to flow to pot after this mileage.
