The horn in my Mitsubishi Galant 2001 is not working. Any idea on how expensive this would be to repair? Can I do it myself? The way it broke was the horn got stuck as I was driving and I was scaring people so I started pounding on the horn and it eventually stopped.(for good)

Thanks

I just got the jeep back from having body work done and a new paintjob and the fender flares were in the backseat, lol. Just need to know the best way to put them back on. Rivets, nuts and bolts, etc?

I have a 2007 Ford Fusion SE AWD and sometimes my A/C starts blowing extremely hot air after a short while. Sometimes if I shut the A/C off then turn it back on it is fine for awhile and sometimes it won't come back for hours. I have taken it in to the dealership 4 times and they cannot seem to isolate the problem. They also say they can't find any other cases. I want to know if I am the only one out there having this issue.

He also said I should replace the plugs for a total of $300, which just happens to be all the money I have right now and I just lost my job :-(. Can I hold off on the plugs for now? The mechanic said he couldn't gaurantee how it will run. Or should I just fork it over and eat bread and water for now. BTW - I have a 2001 Mercure Sable GS

I had Walmart install a new battery in my minivan - a mercury villager. The positive cable is totally loose; and the negative cable had to be hammered down to stay on. The Ford dealer just called & said both cables should be replaced because the battery terminals are shot, i.e., won't adjust. Cost to replace both terminals is $309.00. My question is this cost reasonable? Do i even need whole new cables as opposed to just replacing the battery terminals? And is Walmart culpable? Thanks.

"Service Engine Soon" light on.
Diagnostic indicates air leak in both manifolds (V8).
Gas cap seems to be working properly.
If there is a separate diagnostic for the L and R manifolds there must be separate sensors, correct?
BMW 8 cyl. 75,000.
Seems impossible that both the L and R sprang a leak in the exact same week.
Mechanic recommends gasket replacement.
If result doesn't work, mechanic says replace manifold.

So here are the symptoms (for a 92 Honda Civic):

It began with my horn not working. I figured I blew a fuse, but can't find a fuse that correlates with the horn. No big deal, but then my dash-board lights starting flickering on and off on occassion.

Now, the worst part, my stereo system makes a HORRIBLE piercing screeching noise when I start the car. Sometimes it stops, but it's gotten progressively worse and now it tends to just keep screeching and not work at all. So I have to keep it turned off. The noise in unbearable. When the radio does work, I can hear a subtle high pitch noise that gets louder as I press the gas.

I can handle most of it, but I really like to be able to listen to music. So I'm wondering, if this is some sort of electrical short, how bad is it, if it's affecting so many things?

Since my car isn't worth much, I can't see spending too much to fix this. I just want to be able to listen to my radio. What's the best and cheapest solution?

I recently had the 30000 mile service on my Toyota Highlander performed for $500. I think that is a lot of money. Other than the regular oil changes, which service is essential and which is not. The bulk of my bill was labor charges.

I am replacing the plugs in my Grand Prix GT. I have replaced the front three (the easy ones!). I can't get to the back three. I was told to roll the motor forward by removing the bolts in the two front motor mounts. Do I need to roll the car forward to do this or can it be lifted by hand? Also, what possible damage could I do if I roll it forward too much? Anyone who has knowledge of this procedure could you please help me and tell me the steps to do this?

Thanks!

Ugh. 92 volvo. Hesitant starting, so I had battery checked. It was fine. So I replaced the alternator. Seemed to fix the starting problem for a week. Now its back to hesitating when i crank it up. The lights go dim and stay dim. The gas gauge is bouncing around. What could it be?
