Lets assuming that on the front there are 2 of 240/45/R17
and on the rear 2 of 245/50/R17

or for an MOT do tyres require to be the same size on front and rear.

What does it mean when my car "misses", and what can I do to fix it? I have a 2003 Ford Mustang v6 3.8 with about 52,000 miles, sorry about all the details. I've noticed that my car has some problems with it. For example, I asked my brother-in-law for a second opinion, and so I asked him to turn it on. He said that when he turned it on, it seems like it misses, whatever that means. Also I've noticed that my car shakes a lot from the steering wheel and the seats. I'm just wondering how that problem can be fixed. Any ideas??? Thank you to everyone who answers this question, and please honest answers. Peace :)>-

Okay. I'm obviously no car mechanic or expert, and I am a rookie Driver(I've had my license for only 1 1/2 years; I'm 19). Here is the story(I'll try to make it as short and simple as possible).

I was driving to my destination which was 3 hours from me. Due to appalling traffic jams and how unfamiliar with the area I was, it took around 4 1/2 hours. It was the middle of the day at about 100 degrees and I was stopped a lot. About an hour untill I got to my destination, I noticed that my A/C was acting up and there wasn't gross but a funny smell. When I looked down at the floor of the passenger seat, I noticed it was wet, almost like I had spilled something. The problem was, I keep my car pristine, and I had no food or drink. That was very odd. I checked all of my controls WHILE DRIVING and they seemed fine, so I reached my destination. I had a friend look at it, they thought it was water and it was a minor problem with the A/C. Okay, I thought, I'll just get it fixed when I getback.

After driving my 1006 Plymouth Breeze for a while and shut it off, I hear a bubbling sound. I just tuned it up as well, and found oil on the 2 middle spark plugs. I just replaced the thermostat. Any ideas as to what could cause this?

Ok, so help me out please guys! I'm kind of car-retarded.

My fiance' told me mos. back that the engine had died on my car. I trusted his decision until today when I decided to try my luck and see if the car started.

I noticed that the lights wouldn't even turn on the car. Could this have been a dead battery issue and not the engine? I just thought that the lights ran off the battery not the engine.

Any help would be really appreciated! Please don't be mean - I just have no clue about this stuff!

1999 3.3 liter Caravan, 149,000 miles. Last wk. the radiator cracked at the top, near the cap. Had the rad. replaced, (New one) also the AC line to the? somewhere was also replaced. (part only available from MOPAR),Took car, and same problem. Gauge would stay in the middle, then quickly jump to almost the red line. Brought it back, had the thermostat changed (Was this foolish, I live in Florida, and already have removed the Heater Core) needless to say, took the car, good for about 10 miles w/AC on then same problem.Mechanic tells me its normal for temp gauge to move up and down. BS never happened before ALWAYS stays at the middle. Today I noticed that the ac is not very cold, and when I move the switch to anything but first setting, main vent, IT automatically resets itself to outside air. IT has NEVER done this before I always keep it on MAX inside air. Could this be a sensor, relay, computer problem? When the rad. cracked last wek, I lost power while driving about 60MPH. HELP PLEASE

Hi all,

I recently changed the relay in my Mitsubishi Colt '84 sedan. The car was working fine until yesterday.

Last night i tried starting the car, but it wouldn't budge. I hear the clicking sound, the whirring sound on turning the ignition switch, but it still won't start. I tried using jumper leads, but it won't start. I put in a new battery and it won't start.

Can anyone tell me what might be wrong. I noticed one thing. When the ignition switch is turned on without actually turning all the way to crank, the rpm needle starts acting up on its on. I dont have the money to get it fixed by the mechanic. Please advise.

Okay I have a 1998 Ford Exporer, 2 wheel drive, 4.0.

I don't know if it has shocks or struts?.. If someone can tell me how to replace them, can I buy them at Auto Zone or where. If you think it would be to hard for me to do can someone tell me how much it will cost to have this done. Thanks

FYI-I just replaced the battery and the clamp, so I can handle some detailed stuff.

my husband just got his fuel rail and injectors replaced due to leaking gas. he was driving his car today and started smelling gas so he pulled over and looked under the hod and saw gas spraying all over the engine. he said its not coming from the fuel rail but looks like a little puncture somewhere...trying to explain to me that there is a rubber seal or something where the spray is coming from..sorry if im confusing u. just wondering what would be causing this gas spray/leak like this? any ideas? one more thing, our car shakes when driving but more noticable when stopped..would this be caused by leaking gas? please any and all advice welcome!!!!!!

I sprayed some on a metal car mechanism in the engine bay, thinking it would protect it from water... but that copper/yellow metal bit has now got a thin coating of rust on it within the space of a couple of months.

Also I got some on some rubber seals... like those big rubber things which sort of go over the inner axel, and I'm now worried the WD40 might rot it?
