Gasoline is highly volatile (burns easily). It also evaporates quickly which will leave your hands dry and chalky looking. It's probably the most dangerous way there is to clean your hands. One little spark and you'll be a human torch. Better to go to the auto parts store and get a tube or can of Gojo or some other brand of mechanics waterless hand cleaner. They work great and aren't the health hazard gasoline is.

Yes it can. I can remember Gasoline was used to wash car parts ( engine pieces etc ) while being worked on. More than a few accidental fires came out of that practice. I use GOJO Orange...it works great, smells nice, and very safe.

Yes. However, gasoline is extremely toxic carcinogen and should never be used on your skin. So are most, if not all petroleum products. I would highly recommend some kind of hand cleaner, such as StaLube, because they are made specifically for this purpose. Some even have ground-up pumice in them, which really helps get off stubborn grease, paint, all kinds of things soap won't touch.

Yea, gasoline can remove oil, and so can diesel fuel, alcohol...etc. Use some hand cream afterward if you want to keep your hands soft.
There are a lot of products out there you can clean your hands with without harming your skin. at wal-mart, home depot...etc
Good luck!

Yes, BUT! It is a very bad idea to use gasoline as a cleaning agent. It is inherently dangerous as it is highly flammable, and as such extremely unsafe to use for that purpose.

There are numerous good cleaning agents available for any conceivable purpose. Be safe and stick around for a while longer.

DON"T DO IT!

Yes ,but it's bad for your skin, and may lead to skin cancer, and liver damage. Try Goop instead! By the way, gasoline is made from oil, which has hydrocarbons. Oil comes from dead dinosaurs,(want that on ya'?)

Yes, but be careful with it. After using the gas, you might need to use a scented hand lotion to get the dryness and scent out.
I have used gas, kerosene, and solvent. Just be careful around cuts.
