i am looking for a way to tell what type of motor and trany are in my dune buggy i bought and where 2 get part

the motor is t shaped with an automatic transmision. it is a 4 cylinder motor with dual pipes. i will have some pictures of it soon to help idetify it, but please help with it cause i need to get gaskets for it, thank you.

99% chance it's a VW Beetle

Probably a VW motor but you should be able to find the VIN # on the engine and look it up on a vin check site

yes most likely it is a vw engine. look on the block and look for some numbers, usually back by the fan housing, this will help you greatly for parts issues
