well he probably has bent a rim along with knocking the front end out of alignment also, on it,you,ll have to take it to a front end shop and have them check it to find out just how much damage is done to it,id say you,ll maybe find a bent strut also on it,but have it checked driving it like this is very dangerous, good luck on it.

i would hire a guy to beat his butt till he gave me the $$$$.$$
to have the front tie rods, steering assembly, half shaft, new wheels and tires, among other things to the front and rear
alignment. sounds like bro took the car into a wild turn and slammed the curb left side and messed up the front and back geometry (basically, twisting the chassis). you didn't say what kind of car it is but more than likely it has a uni body frame, and it would need to be put on a machine to straighten
it out if the body has any shape left. i hate to have to tell you this but the damage to the vehicle maybe more than what it seems just by looking at it, with these unibody cars it can and will affect the drive-line of the vehicle and this is not a simple fix. have it looked over by a GOOD mechanic and i hope it it is something as simple as the drive line. good luck.

You really should get this checked out ASAP.
I had a similar thing happen to me around 3 months ago. I hit a large curb real hard, at around 40mph. The next day i was in a Wal Mart parking lot, the tie rod broke in two. Had i been on a freeway it would have been all over for me.
I caused a lot of damage to my car with that one hit. Even though i had a friend do the repairs, it still costed me around $1000 dollars to get it fixed.
Kick your brothers butt and tell him hes gonna have to pay for the repairs.
Hopefully it might have just bent your rim or maybe knocked it out of alignment. That would be the best thing. I had to replace my tie rods, ball joints, struts (since one was bent i replaced both) destroyed my wheel and busted a tire plus had to get an alignment done.
But really get it checked out by someone soon.

Most likely the wheel is bent and the lower "A-arm" is bent (or the "H" frame) and the outter constant velocity joint is boogered up.
So, start with the wheel. Find one in a junkyard for $20-30. See if this fixes the problem. If not, then have someone check out the frame and the outter CVJ joint/half shaft.
Hopefully you can get by with a new wheel and a front end alignment.
Good Luck!

The problem is your brother, he screwed up the car. You may have a bent rim, or damaged wheel hub. You need to have it looked at by someone more knowledgeable. And, don't let your brother borrow the car again until he pays you back for the repair.

the over 40 is a bent wheel, or rim, which are the same things. Start there, then deal with the other problem. One at a time.

Check the wheels first for damage, roundness, and balance. Then, by all means, get the wheels aligned. Do not overlook this important service. Good luck.

sounds like a bent rim or out of balance tire and tie rod end, could also have bent strut, steering knuckle or lower control arm.
