My '84 Buick Riviera sometimes turns off on the road when I'm not accelerating (even when the car is moving). This happens mostly when the car has been parked for more than a day.

My leather car seats got soaked in the rain. They dried to some extent, but still damp. I want to prevent the growth of mildew. What can I use to get rid of the remaining moisture in the seats?

I've got a Daewoo Nubira 2.0i Estate and have been having trouble with the tracking lately. Garage tells me it's 90% sure it's due to the wishbones being worn and has quoted me £210 for replacements. I would just like to know whether their diagnosis is correct (what else could make the tracking keep going out - it only took 2 days last time) and if so if their price is reasonable.

Well The Car Is A 90 Honda Civic, It Had A Water Pump Problem @ First... I Odered The Part, Drove The Car Like That For A While And Almost Over Heated... Till 2 Days Ago The Car Doesn't Start No More Even When I Put The New Water Pump... Marked Were The Timing Belt Was Positioned.... i went to roll down my car window and it made a funny noise and wouldn't go down, but i just thought it was frozen. when i got out of my car and closed the door, the whole window fell sideways. it's not broken but it's off the trak. i have a pontiac grand am and was just wondering if anyone knew how much these things usually cost... please someone help me! I have a Cadillac CTS and it brings an indash 6 dish changer. But when I press LOAD to load a cd the cd changer wont take in the cd. Its like stuck or something?? Anyone had this happen before and fixed it themselves?? The dealer charges $300!!

Can anybody explain this to me about Antirust coating? I have bought Indica XETA in Jan 2007 and was thinking of doing this anticorrosive coating before monsoon arrives. The car dealer has quoted me Rs 2350/- for this.

a. How beneficiary is to have this coating done especially when I dont have personal garage and have to park in the open space?
b. Is the price quoted worth it? If not, then suggest some better trustworthy alternatives

i keep getting an exclaimation light on and ive checked the oil and power steering tanks to made sure that all at max.... the only one that i cannot find is a rod near to the oil stick which is at a minimum, can anyone tell me if this is for gearbox fuel..... thanks

i bought my cadillac catera (1997' 80,000 miles) a couple months ago, and i have kept up with my oil changes. my car always seems to need more oil and antifreeze. one day my oil light came on 5 times, i added more oil to it, and it kept going off. so i took it to a shop to get the oil change and ask why the light keeps coming on. basically they tried to over charge me by checking my sensor..when they could have just checked the oil pump,so i got mad and left. when i went home that day i checked to see that they did everything okay.i noticed there was no antifreeze.so i went and bought some, and added it. the next day i drove my car to work and then i went straight home.when i turned my car off it started smoking ALOT from under the hood. later i checked it again and all the antifreeze was gone. this was within a days time of refilling it! i just went outside to check my car and there is a leak, im guessin its antifreeze. also there is white yellow foam as the top of the oil duct

It drives smooth, but when I turn, accelerate or brake, I sometimes hear a knocking sound. I hear it more when I have been driving the vehicle for awhile. I also noticed I hear it more when it is hot outside. Any idea what this could be or what it would cost?

I have a 2000 Dodge Grand Caravan and lately I have noticed a knocking under the drivers floor board. It happened when I turned and when I went over a bump. I can feel it in my foot. I am worried that this is going to be expensive, can anyone tell me what they think it is and if its going to cost me a fortune to fix?

I put my durango in the shop last Monday and it is still not fixed. I had a coolant leak and they said it had something to do with a gasket. The part is still not in so I am still waiting. They said that it would be a day and a half job is this normal

I was driving my brother's 95' Toyota Camary, and I noticed that when I come to a stop and brake, the car wants to keep going, and when it can't because it's braked, it wants to stall out. The best way to describe it is if you're in a standard car, and you attempt to come to a stop without pushing in the clutch. It will studder and stall out. This happens in reverse as well. It also only happens after its been running a while. It doesn't do it at first, but after driving for an hour on the highway, I noticed it when coming to a stop.

Anyone know what the problem might be? Maybe the clutch plate?

I'm a disabled vet and can not afford to have someone else do it. Do not want to ruin that area and have to use a hot wiring method> It will still start it and run it just no easy way to shut it down cuz the coils are way down in the front and hard to get too especially when it is running. Maybe there is an easy accesswire to shut it down I could install a switch in. Help. Gov does not pay us enough to use mechanics.

This morning I had a difficult time getting my car started (1999 Toyota Corolla, 75000/miles). I've noticed this more and more recently, but this morning it took about a minute and 10 retries to get it going). It wasn't that cold outside (32/degrees), and it's started up fine all winter long. What can cause a slow startup like this? This car just had a tune-up where it got new spark plugs. Also, it got a new battery a year ago, and the cold-cranking amps are OK for this car. What else could be the problem?

The lever down by the driver's feet won't click open the hood door - it seems as though it is jammed. I don't want to pull it too hard because the handle may break. Has anyone else had this problem?

We have just spent $1000 in repairs on a car that is stil having trouble. It bucks on acceleration and has no power when going up hills. The computer code changes with every repair and the newest code is not explaining the issue- Cam sensor is suspected but its a big job- is it this and is it worth keeping the car? Its only worth about $6000 if I trade it and is otherwise in great shape.
