i bought my cadillac catera (1997' 80,000 miles) a couple months ago, and i have kept up with my oil changes. my car always seems to need more oil and antifreeze. one day my oil light came on 5 times, i added more oil to it, and it kept going off. so i took it to a shop to get the oil change and ask why the light keeps coming on. basically they tried to over charge me by checking my sensor..when they could have just checked the oil pump,so i got mad and left. when i went home that day i checked to see that they did everything okay.i noticed there was no antifreeze.so i went and bought some, and added it. the next day i drove my car to work and then i went straight home.when i turned my car off it started smoking ALOT from under the hood. later i checked it again and all the antifreeze was gone. this was within a days time of refilling it! i just went outside to check my car and there is a leak, im guessin its antifreeze. also there is white yellow foam as the top of the oil duct

i would suspect that you have a leak somewhere like maybe your rubber seals on your oil filter may be worn out or damaged, possibly your gaskets on the oilpan may be cracked or damaged, and about the antifreeze i would believe that you should check your radiator for leaks or damage on it because my car had a damaged radiator and it leaked all the antifreeze fluid out. well if you ever need any help again please feel free to contact me.

sounds like you have a leaking head gasket. This is the gasket between the engine block and the heads. When this happens, antifreeze gets mixed in with the oil, both oil and antifreeze are lost through the combustion process, and the engine is headed into self destruction. Do not drive the vehicle until it is checked out by a reliable mechanic. This is not a sensor problem. This is a true mechanical failure, and requires attention to prevent further damage.

If you have water or antifreeze in your oil, you might consider that you might have a blown head gasket and your liquid is going into you oil causing a muddy look to your oil, check your dip stick to see if you have water or a muddy look to it?, if you do then the head gasket is blown or you might have a cracked head or block these are symptoms of lose of your coolant?

you probably have an internal leak inside the engine. I'm sorry to tell you this but you need to take it to a garage. it most likely has a bad head gasket. if you continue to run it though you will ruin the whole engine if that hasn't happened already. PS don't drive it have it towed in. good luck
