I have changed shocks on older cars and found the process straight forward, but I've never done struts. Do I have to remove anything other that the wheel/tire to do the job? Do I need any special tools? Does anyone know of a step-by-step on the web? Thanks!

Hello,
I'm having a problem with my climate control system in my truck. Of the 3 knobs avaliable (fan, temp, and function), only the fan knob is functioning correctly; the temp knob doesn't change the temp at all, and with the "function" knob, and position other than "off" turns the A/C on - I'm wondering if one of the wires may be bad, or one may not be grounded - I'm considering picking up a unit from the junkyard and see if that works - any thoughts??? I'd appreciate it, as winter is quickly approaching!!!

My car is an automatic and whenever I shift it to DRIVE it does not respond. Two temporary solutions I've found are to switch back and forth between all gears, going back to DRIVE until it finally 'catches' and let's the car accelerate. The other one is that I move it to DRIVE and press on the gas really hard until it just jumps forward. What could be causing this?

Now that it is getting chillier they are going up into my car engine at night to keep warm. Parking somewhere else is not an option because

Ok, you all know how there is a little jug container in the motor area that is for anti freeze? I've been told before that so your car wont over heat you have to keep that a full level. But I have also been told that it doesn't matter if it's empty, because that is where the excess antifreeze goes. Which one is right? I don't want my car to break!

I'm thinking of buying a Daewoo Leganza CDX but my mom told me that no one fixes Daewoos anymore. Is this true? And if anyone has/had a Daewoo, please give me your opinion of the car. Thank you :)

i have a neon and i was getting like 17 miles per gallon. would the egr be responsible for this? i just had it fixed and am hoping to get better mileage with the engine light off now. how much is the egr responsible for as far as bad performance is concerned?

Something happened where i lost all my brake fluid in my car... i had to make it the rest of the way home so i drove with no fluid/brakes for a while. I added fluid in, and its staying full and not leaking anywhere, yet when i push down on the pedal i still get no resistance or grabbing. A friend said that there is probably alot of air trapped in the lines from using the brakes empty, and it needs to be "purged". i got the instructions on doing so, but i want to get some more opinions before, in case something like this could cause problems if not done correctly. Could this really be the case that it simply needs to be purged, i mean the job looks somewhat easy. One more note, i will admit i cant even remember the last time i checked my brake fluid, so this could have been a real gradual loss, not instantaneous, in which case i would assume the problem to be a ruptured hose or line or something... thanks in advance!
