I'm thinking of buying a Daewoo Leganza CDX but my mom told me that no one fixes Daewoos anymore. Is this true? And if anyone has/had a Daewoo, please give me your opinion of the car. Thank you :)

Daewoo was bought by GM.

They are a Korean automotive maker and they no longer sell cars here in America, except through GM. I believe the only model GM sells that Daewoo makes is the Chevy Aveo. (Imported from Korea for GM)

They were purchased by GM 2-3 years ago now, so it maybe difficult to get parts for it in the future.

I would recommend you avoid purchasing the vehicle unless it is deeply discounted and you plan to just throw it away when it breaks down.

DAEWOO has gone out of buisness in america. thus there parts and someone with tecnical ability to fix them is going to be hard to find at a resonable price. besides there reliability is pretty poor and they dont appear to be good cars which is probably why the are so cheap

buy it if you like throwing away money. stay away from it. i know the thermostat housing is made of plastic and they do not make a replacement part for it at all.
