Hello,
I'm having a problem with my climate control system in my truck. Of the 3 knobs avaliable (fan, temp, and function), only the fan knob is functioning correctly; the temp knob doesn't change the temp at all, and with the "function" knob, and position other than "off" turns the A/C on - I'm wondering if one of the wires may be bad, or one may not be grounded - I'm considering picking up a unit from the junkyard and see if that works - any thoughts??? I'd appreciate it, as winter is quickly approaching!!!

If the fuse is not blown, then I would check to see if your getting vacuum to the control unit, If you are , then you need to replace the dash unit. The problem with getting a used unit is you don't know if it is also bad when you install it, you might get lucky and get a good used one. good luck

Your problem is definitely in the unit itself, replacing it may be your only course of action.
