It could be something else . I assume the engine still runs properly. Check the drive shaft. The "U" joint can break making it not move. It is the pipe looking thing under the rear of the van that connects the back of the transmission to the drive axle. On each end of that pipe(drive shaft) is a u-joint. Check the fluid in the transmission. Low fluid can cause it not to move. Also check for a bused hydraulic line that can make you loose all your fluid. You should see fluid all over the bottom of the motor if so..
good luck

i own a repair shop, and i think it may be the transmission on it,,i get a lot of them in the shop that are like this ,and after so many miles they just let go its usually pretty serious when they do this id have it checked out,but from experience id say you going to need the transmission re-done on it id rather have that one done then buy a used one,it will cost more but if you depend on it,it will be worth it,good luck i hope this help,s.

This noise you heard was it a loud "pop" ? If so I would say transmission, you most likely stripped the shell or busted the planetary. Have it towed to a transmission shop, Good luck.

Call me at Brandywine Auto Parts please,. 1-800-638-3446 ext 520. Tell me exactly what happened. Sounds like you may need a transmission or could be as simple as the drive shaft. I need more details though.

COuld be a number of things. One, it's a 93, but seriously sounds like you didn't have any oil in the engine or possibly the tranny. Was it making any sor of noises before this happened?

could be driving belts, alternator belt perhapes a timing belt. if it was the transmission it would still run but not that smooth! just do a little inspection youself and you will be able to figure the problem out!

on flat land, around 85. those vans are huge. i don't think those engines had a governor, it may have just felt like it cut out.

yes, it is in the drivetrain. Possible trans or driveshaft related. Tow it to a local garage for inspection.
good luck

it's definetly transmission or drive train related. I recommend that you take it to a shop.

your trannie could have gone bad ,but you might want to check your fluid,if your low on fluid, check your lines to make sure that they are connected and dont have any holes in them,or it could be a blown seal
