No, there isn't a true clutch on an automatic tranny - just a torque converter. That generally doesn't need adjusting.

No. An automatic transmission doesn't have a clutch. A manual transmission has a clutch. If you only have two pedals and no gearshift, then you have an automatic transmission. You service an automatic transmission by flushing and replacing the transmission fluid. If you have an automatic transmission and your car is not shifting gears, or is "slipping", then take it to a shop that specializes in transmission repair.

No, There used to be way back in the 60s was the last ones I knew of..their called bands,,,.they still have bands but they are controled by servo's its kind of a small hydraulic cylinder built into the case of the trans. most of the time when its not working properly is an O-ring if your lucky It may be on a servo that you can get to and replace yourself... Good Luck.

no there is no adjustment the cluthces in an automatic are not like the one in a manual tranny. you can get the bands adjusted in it tho. the bands is what drives the tranny. sometimes they will stretch after a period of time and need adjusting. but only a qualified transmission mechanic can do this. also a simple fluid change and new filter will do what your needing.

Most transmissions have bands that can be adjusted, in time they ware just like clutch plates and should be adjusted. Watch out though, almost all transmission shops will say that they can't be adjusted or that their too bad and you will need to have the transmission repaired or rebuilt.

NO, the clutches are all internal and can not be adjusted and there is no external band adjustments on most transmissions that's why most transmission shops won't and can not adjust them. Even though some uneducated people (dlk) may think so.

No. If it's slipping, you are either low on fluid, or have a problem with the transmission.
