I just bought a 1994 Eagle Talon ES. My front end shakes and gets worse the faster I go, I have new tires on the front, new brakes and rotors. Sometimes the brakes get really hot and smell too. Also, sometimes when I shift down gears the car will die. My check engine light is constantly on.

My car is overheating while sitting in traffic during the hot summer heat with the AC ON.

What happens is this:

1. Begin to get into traffic - slowing down or a complete stop.
2. After a few minutes in traffic, the AC begins to blow hot air.
3. A few minutes after that, the temperature gauge goes through the roof.

The AC works fine with the temp guage having no problems when there is no traffic - it blows cold and the guage stays at the mid-point.

As soon as I get into traffic, bam - AC blows hot and the gauge goes hotter.

Why?

I have to have it towed 8 miles to a shop, then they have to fix the connection between the battery and the engine due to some bad wiring. If someone can give me a ballpark of how much this should cost me, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

This happened recently, when I crank the car everything seems right, disengage the parking brake...everything's still fine, press the clutch, okay so far, move the stick to the first gear and I get a loud screaching sound from under the bonnet. Getting the stick back to neutral, engaging or disengaging the clutch doesn't do any good, however getting the car in motion does the trick, after a couple of seconds while in motion, the sound stops and doesn't come up untill the first crank next day. Any ideas?

I bought an 03 plate Rover 25 3 weeks ago and in the past few days it's taken a bit to start (ie I have to press the accelorator to get it running). It runs fine when started and only seems to happen when there's its than a 1/4 full with petrol... I have a 3 month guarantee but was wondering if anyone knew why it's happening and whether I'd be able to get it sorted under the guarantee?

We had the oil changed and a few days later started having problems with the engine missing out. Took it to the shop and found out that there was oil all over the "coil pack". Cost $150.00 to have it cleaned up and we're having other problems (radiator light comes on, still missing out, bad gas milage, etc.). The place that changed the oil will pay to replace the coil pack if we can prove that it's the problem. Help!!!

I have a 2000 Ford Taurus, and I recently had the Check Engine light come on about 2 months. The mechanic stated it was someting about the compression. I had that fix, and now it has come on again. What does that mean?

I have a 1992 Toyota Previa Van which is maintained on a regular basis. When I turn the ignition now nothing happens. It made a pop sound the first time. The headlights work fine. Could it be an electrical problem possibly?

Hey, I recently had a new engine installed to my car. My car is a 95 Dodge Intrepid, the engine is a V6 3.5. Well, I noticed shortly after I got the car back with the new engine, I had a gas leak. It seemed like a pretty bad one too because the gas gage was going down rather quickly and I was leaving tire tracks (gas tracks). I had some buddies who are pretty "car smart" take a look to find the leak and to my surprise, it was coming from the ENGINE! I was told a good chunk of the bottom of the engine was covered in gas. Do you guys have any idea what the problem could be? Could this be a major issue?

I'd like to generally understand what makes a car work and be able to do some smaller repairs on my own, like fix a broken timing belt and things like that.
