I have to have it towed 8 miles to a shop, then they have to fix the connection between the battery and the engine due to some bad wiring. If someone can give me a ballpark of how much this should cost me, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

It is going to depend on the area you live in. Towing is $75 hookup and $3 / mile here so you are looking at about $100 to tow the vehicle and then it will depend on the type and extent of repairs and any parts needed. You are most likely looking at a $250-$400 repair, including towing!

Without knowing the exact problem, this is just a guess. If it is just a loose battery cable. it will be less than if a wire harness needs to be replaced.

Well here in Atlanta, GA they get 50 to 75 for a tow that far and our labor rates here are between 50 and 75 dollars an hour and the shop will charge you at least 10 to 20 for the part. So with that said worst case it will cost here around $200

If it is only a simple wire replacement it should be under $75, plus the tow fee. Most tow companies charge $50-$75 to tow that far.

between 45 and 75 on the towing

if it is just a battery cable (depending on the car) the cable itself will be 10 to 25 dollars then the labor will be about 65 dollars

hope this helps

Shouldn't be more than $75.00 for the tow and depending on the amount of time it took them to find the bad connection though it shouldn't be more than $75.00. So I would say ballpark of $150.00

What kind of car? American or Imported. My guess is American made, b'c it's highly unlikely a foreign car would have that problem, but yeah approx. $75 no more than $100 if that's the only thing.
