want to go through the (im sure) long and painful process of identifying the tube and removing it. I just want a quick fix. Ill get a wire brush and scrape it clean. Then...?

Can I use any type of high temperature tape?
Can I use epoxy or JB weld? What should I use to cover the hole?

The tube is about 1/4" diameter.

Any ideas?

Inside shoe was down to metal, left inside of rotor pretty bad! Outside pad on the other hand, looked to be roughly a month old! That is drivers side front tire! Passgr side not near as bad, but inside pad wore more than outside! Could it be the seals in the caliper or possibly a pressure prob??

I have a manual transmission 98 Chevrolet cavalier. Recently I've had alot of problems with my car being sluggish (jerks, attempts to stall, usually I have to gun the gas to keep it going) when shifting gears. I've taken it to the repair shop twice now for the problem but it's still unresolved. On the first vist they performed a tune-up. Then the next visit visit they replaced an ignition cylinder. I'm just not sure I can afford to keep taking it back to the shop for repairs that don't actually fix the problem? Any suggestions on what might be the cause of the problem?

Earlier today I noticed my gear shift cover was a little out of place. I thought it was just the leather cover that had come undone... I drove home fine (no problems shifting from reverse to drive, etc.) but when I put my car in park and tried to turn it off... it wouldn't turn off. The engine was off but the lights on my console and dashboard stayed on and I couldn't get my key out of the ignition. Luckily, my brother was able to play with the cover a little and eventually my car turned off... but this keeps happening. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Should I try to take the cover off and put it back on? Any information would be GREATLY appreciated.

The car is a Pontiac Sunfire.

Started it and it stayed in drive2 for 45 minutes, even if I shifted to low, it stayed in drive2. Then I turned it off. came back in two hours, started it up and it shifts fine. I am avoiding using drive 2,3 and low...but why would it stick this just once? 150,000 miles...and changed torque converter at 110,000. fluid is good.

I own a 1989 Saab Turbo and the owner's manual says to have it changed every 7,500 miles; however, most suggest either every 3,000 or 5,000 miles. I realize that Jiffy Lube, etc. recommend every 3,000 miles (it used to be every 5,000 miles in the not too distant past) to increase business, but at the same time the car is 17 years old and in great shape - I don't want to play around with it. Any ideas?

My car is going to die before I ever sell it, and I'm an art student, so I figured it would be fun to stencil a design on my hood. I'm not going to paint the whole car, just a small portion. Could I use spray paint meant for metal you get at home depot? Or would that instantly peel and chip? I know this has to be possible.
