There is no "governor" pre se, it is computer controlled. You need to upgrade your computer chip if you want to upgrade your performance.

Be careful if you alter things that you do not alter the emissions as that is a Federal offense and could cause failure of the emissions testing if you are subject to such and if tampered with can cause you to loose trade in value as the dealer will look at having to restore the computer to stay legal and not be sued.

Engine governor is inside processor of engine and would need recalibration with a aftermarket chip to remove... but any damage done because of the chip is yours.. Ford finds out you recal the PCM and blow the motor, you eat the motor....

BTW, no throttle cable on that thing anyway.. all electronic controlled

you need to get a computer programmer they run about $50.00 & up . If you tried to remove the governor you could screw up the computer .
